Sentinel designs and builds sensors that find a drone by its radio signal, confirm it on camera and pick up the ones that fly without a radio link. Designed and made in Slovakia.
Most drones stay in radio contact with their pilot, so passive RF detection finds them early and without giving the site away. That includes FPV and home-built drones, which systems built on a library of known protocols can miss.
Radio alone has two weak points, though. In a city or at an airport the spectrum is crowded, and every false alarm costs the operator's trust. And more and more drones transmit nothing at all: they fly a pre-programmed route or are steered over a fibre-optic cable. That's why we combine three sensors.
Passive RF sensor
Icarus listens to the radio spectrum around the site and picks drone control and video links out of Wi-Fi, mobile networks and other traffic. It recognizes drones by how their radio behaves, not only by a list of known models.
Camera for validation and classification
V-555 checks an alert from Icarus visually and confirms what is actually there: a drone, a bird, or nothing. It classifies the drone by type and saves an image record of the event for the operator.
Acoustic sensor
A-343 listens for the sound of propellers and motors. It covers what radio detection can't: drones that fly autonomously or are controlled over fibre-optic cable.
